The Secretary of State chairs the opening of the joint meeting on the planning and harmonization of the AU budget.

The Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of the National Community Abroad, Mr. Sofiane Chaib, chaired the opening of the joint meeting on the planning and harmonization of the African Union (AU) budget on Monday, October 26, 2026, in Algiers. The meeting, which is being held from October 26 to 30, includes the participation of representatives from the AU Commission, the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD), the Secretariat of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), and the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC).
