Algeria denounces attempts to legitimize colonial status quo, stresses self-determination is non-negotiable

Algeria stressed on Friday 30 october 2026 that any attempt to impose a predetermined solution on the Sahrawi a  people, or to sidestep their inalienable right to self-determination, would be a grave departure from international legality and the principles of the UN Charter, strongly condemning moves to legitimize a colonial reality imposed by force in Western Sahara.
