Algeria calls for enhanced UNGA role, profound reform of Security Council

NEW YORK (United Nations) - Algeria called Monday from New York for strengthening the role and authority of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) and for a "far-reaching reform" of the Security Council to make it more representative, equitable, and effective, while ending selectivity and double standards in the application of international law.
