Proxy election – Election of the People’s National Assembly members, 02 july 2026

In anticipation of the legislative elections scheduled for July 2, 2026, the Embassy of Algeria in Abuja informs citizens registered on the electoral roll of the diplomatic mission, who are unable to travel to the polling unit on Election Day, to initiate the preparation of proxyvoting according to the following conditions:

• The proxy is drawn up using a specific form,which can be downloaded via the following link Click here It is legalized free of charge.
• The presence of the proxy (the person delegated) is not required during the preparation of the document. The constituent (the person delegating) presents a valid identity document.
• The proxy may only be granted to one person who enjoys his/her civil and political rights and is registered in the same polling unit. No person may hold more than one proxy.
• On Election Day, the proxy must present their identity document, the original proxy form, and the constituent's voter card.

The Independent National Authority for Elections (ANIE) has set the period for preparing proxyvoting for the National People's Assembly elections from April 20, 2026, to June 28, 2026.
