Accreditation of journalists covering  the election of the People's National Assembly members,  Scheduled for 2 July 2026

In anticipation of the election of members of the National People's Assembly, to take place on 2 July 2026, and in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 01-21 of March 10, 2021, concerning the electoral system, and Executive Decree No. 14-152 of April 30, 2014, establishing the procedures for accrediting journalists working for foreign media outlets, the Embassy of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria in Abuja informs journalists representing media organizations, whose headquarters are located in Nigeria, Benin, and Togo, wishing to cover this electoral event that applications for accreditation may be submitted to the Consular Affairs Section of the Embassy no later than 20 June 2026.

Applications for accreditation should be accompanied by the following documents:

  • A request issued by the journalist's media organization ;
  • A duly completed information form, which can be downloaded by clicking here ;
  • A duly completed press visa application form, available for download on the Embassy's website ;
  • A copy of the journalist's valid press card ;
  • Two recent passport-sized photographs ;
  • A copy of the journalist's passport ;
  • A detailed list of technical and audiovisual equipment to be brought into Algeria for professional use ;
