President Tebboune receives American Chevron delegation

President of the Republic Abdelmadjid  Tebboune received Tuesday 24 June 2025, at the presidency of the Republic in Algiers, a delegation of the American company Chevron.

The audience was attended by the Chief of Staff of the Presidency of the Republic, Boualem Boualem, the Minister of State, Minister of Energy, Mines and Renewable Energy, Mohamed Arkab, and the CEO of  Sonatrach, Rachid Hachichi.

In a statement to the media after the audience, the vice-president in charge of business development at Chevron, Joe Cook, said the meeting "encourages us to move forward with the negotiations, in line with the agreement in principle, and we look forward to continuing the discussions."
