Commemoration of the National Martyr’s Day, February 18, 2025, under the slogan: The martyr, an immortal soul and a pioneering path of fidelity

Algeria will commemorate on February 18, 2025, National Day of CHAHID, in order to pay vibrant tribute to our Chouhada (Martyrs) who put the freedom of Algeria above all else and gave their lives for its independence.

The commemoration of this Day is an opportunity to emphasize the importance to be given to national history and its teaching to young generations who must preserve this sacred link with their glorious past and remember the immense sacrifices of the martyrs during 132 years of colonization.

On this occasion, the members of the National Community established in the consular circumscription of Abuja are invited to join the staff of the Embassy, and commemorate this day, Tuesday 18 February 2025 at 9:30 am, at the head office of the Embassy of Algeria in Nigeria.

The program consists of the raising of the national flag to the rhythm of the national anthem, prior to the recitation of the “Fatiha of the Holy Quran» in memory of our glorious martyrs.
