6th Edition of the President of the Republic’s Amazigh Literature and Language Award
The Embassy of Algeria in Nigeria wishes to inform the members of the National Community living within the consular area of Abuja (Nigeria-Benin) that the High Commission for Amazighity (HCA) has opened submissions for candidacy aimed at all age classes of our community abroad, wishing to participate either individually or collectively to the 6th edition of the the President of the Republic’s Amazigh Literature and Language Award.
This competition, with a scientific and creative purpose, is structured around four main themes:
- Linguistics;
- Research on Amazigh intangible heritage;
- Literature written in Tamazight or translated into it;
- Tech & digital sciences.

The best works in each category of the competition, selected by the jury under the supervision of the HCA, will be recognized during the official award ceremony to be held on the occasion of the celebrations of the Amazigh New Year “Amenzu n yennayer,” on 12th January 2026.
Submissions of candidacies remain open until 1stNovember 2025.
